24-Hour Economy: No more waiting for 3-6 months for your passport – Omane Boamah assures Ghanaians

  • Post category:Politics

Director of IT and Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Omane Boamah has assured Ghanaians of a swift delivery of passports under John Dramani Mahama.

Unlike what happens today when people have to wait several months after applying for their passports, Dr Omane Boamah says the John Dramani Mahama’s 24-Hour Economy will ensure a swift delivery of passports.

He indicated that the policy will help do away with unemployment as many Ghanaians will be engaged.

“By operating 24/7 in 3 shifts of 8 hours each, more jobs will be created for the unemployed and underemployed at various passport offices in the country. And, citizens will enjoy better delivery of passport services.”

I have seen many people lament the undue delay in the processing of their passport applications.

Well, the Mahama 24-hour economy is designed among others to address this problem by ensuring a round-the-clock processing of passport applications (24/7), at all passport application centers across the country.

24-hour passport services mean that, there will be no more queuing at 4am for basic passport services; no more waiting for 3-6 months for your passport after you have paid for it.

By operating 24/7 in 3 shifts of 8 hours each, more jobs will be created for the unemployed and underemployed at various passport offices in the country. And, citizens will enjoy better delivery of passport services.
