Maame Jane of Osofo Dadzie has revealed in a new interview with Kingdom Plus FM that she has instructed a Kumasi-based filmmaker to make a movie around the loom of her dead body when she dies hours before she’s buried.
The veteran actor says she’s poor despite her long service in the Ghanaian movie industry.
According to her, she has acted close to 50-years. Speaking about her living condition, she says she has remained broke all this while and that has been the reality of her life after acting for 49 years.
“People feel that I’m a star so I’m always rich. As I’m talking to you, I’m broke. Producers and directors don’t call me anymore. If they do, I would have gotten something small in my pocket. Unfortunately, they have neglected me.I can’t stop acting. I’ve been doing this since Osofo Dadzie era. That’s almost 50 years now. Until I die, I’ll continue to act. I’ve even informed one producer to make a movie with my dead body before they bury me. That’s when I die”.
