What would have been highly preserved as a tourist site after the Ashanti-Denkyira war in 1699 has been left unattended over centuries.
Feyiase was the battle ground and it records chunk of Ashanti successes during the war with Denkyira.
Among the numerous successes was the killing of Denkyira’s overlord Ntim Gyakari in Feyiase. Unfortunately the burial place of Ntim Gyakari has been left over centuries with no monument to serve as a tourist site.
A visit by Ashantibiz to Feyiase reveals that indigenous people have occupied the site as a place of abode.
