The general perception about who an Excellent Woman is has been given further illumination.
A Senior Specialist cum Paediatric Radiologist at the Ridge Hospital, Dr Rosemond Aboagye has asserted that every woman aiming to be excellent in life must have a purpose.
An excellent life is a choice and must be aimed with a purpose in mind, usually to the benefit of others.
Dr. Rosemond Aboagye made this observation during a radio talkshow program dubbed “The Excellent Woman” at Sunny FM in Accra.
According to her, there must be a reason why one wants to be excellent. She alluded that everybody is living for others and that a purposeful life must always have an impact on others positively.
“Excellence is a present continuous tense that one must always strive for. It is not a state of perfection but a continuous process. You must strive to be exceptionally good, outstanding for that matter in various chosen fields of endeavor if you want to be seen as an excellent woman. Being outstanding or exceptionally good could be in the field of your career, your relationship with God or Spouse, your faith, money, time, etc. “The key thing here is having a purpose”, she added.
When asked about how organized an excellent woman should be, Dr Aboagye asserted that every woman striving to be excellent must have the dexterity of balancing time, money and human relationships, which are invaluable currencies. The fields of God (your faith), money and time must be at the centre stage of every woman’s list particularly those seeking to be excellent. The excellent woman should not live in her past, compare herself to others nor keep beating herself up over past mistakes and failures. She must learn to forgive herself for wrong choices made. She made those mistakes at the time only because she did not know any better. But with knowledge and continuous learning we get better. The excellent woman shouldn’t see her current status as perfection or arrival but must keep striving to do her best everyday.
