Rita Asamoah, a 33-year-old nurse employed at MC. Hills Hospital in Danyame, met a tragic and untimely demise when she was attacked and murdered by unknown assailants in Atwima Boko-Abrewa borga, situated in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, this horrifying incident took place on the evening of October 9, 2023, at approximately 7 p.m., as Rita was returning home from her workplace. The assailants mercilessly assaulted her, resulting in her death, and callously left her lifeless body around 150 meters away from her residence.
Various items were discovered at the crime scene, including sachets of cerelac, pieces of diapers, and her handbag containing 300 cedis. The motive behind this heinous act remains unknown, prompting an immediate investigation by the Atwima Techiman police.
Rita Asamoah had just finished her shift at around 6:30 p.m., and tragically, her life was abruptly taken away upon reaching her neighborhood.
