A/R: Newly Built Police Station left to deteriorate – Kumasi

A newly built and fully furnished Police Station has been abandoned for years by the authorities to deteriorate.

The beautiful edifice is situated at K.O lorry terminal, a very popular business community that shares boundary with Ash-Town and Dr. Mensah; inside the heart of Kumasi,

Information available to Ashantibiz suggests that, the drainage system around that area was poorly considered by the contractor when putting up the facility. It says the entire place gets flooded anytime it rains.

It continues that, the city engineer and other players who were to provide supervisory role during the building of the facility also slept on their jobs.

Even though, it is believed that the facility was strategically built at that vantage area to provide security to the lives and properties around the area..

The current state is not the case as the facility has been left unattended to for almost six years now.

Sources say, the Regional Minister and the Head of the Regional Police Command inspected the facility after it was fully furnished with all the needed logistics. Years down the lane, nothing fruitful has been done to the facility
