It is common knowledge that a lawyer cannot conduct private practice in Ghana without being affiliated to a chamber or a law firm.
Thus, there is little surprise that lawyers create partnerships between and among themselves to allow them practice this dignified profession. Nonetheless, like in most other areas of life, it is a mainstay that some chambers may rack up more lawyers than others, affording them a numerical advantage that enables them to grow overtime.
We’ve compiled the list of the top 5 law firms in Ghana that currently have the highest number of lawyers in their employment. Our data was sourced from dedicated scans of the Lawyer Locator portal of the Ghana Bar Association, website of law firms and was further corroborated by the said law firms. The top 5 were selected out of the existing 950 chambers and legal departments, duly licensed to practice law for the 2021 Legal Year, as at 23rd August, 2021.
