In Asanteman Council meeting held at the Manhyia Palace on August 26, 2024, the Asantehene destooled three prominent chiefs: the Gyaasihene, Akyeamehene, and Baamuhene of Sabronum, citing their involvement in the illegal mining activities that have significantly harmed the environment and the future of their communities.
