The Asanteman Community in Holland led by Nana Osei Kufour (The Asantehene in Holland) has celebrated Akwaside over the weekend .
The celebration which took place at Ypenburg in The Hague, brought together some Elders and section of the Ashanti Community and its Traditional Council to discuss issues of unity among themselves, ways to tell and promote the Ashanti culture and how to support developmental projects back home in Ghana.
Addressing those present, Nana Osei Kufour (The Asantehene in Holland) reiterated the need for them to seek peace and unity as through which common goals are achieved. He called on all Ashanti descendants in diaspora to come together help build Asanteman.
Among those present were Nana Kwabena Poku Agyemang (Holland Adontenhene), Nana Kwaku Agyemang Opambour (Holland Akyeamehene), Nana Kwame Bonsu (Asante Akyem Agogo Akyempemhene), Nana Nsuobeyebouden Owusu Boateng Agyenim (Otumfour Damponanohene Nkosuohene), Oheneba Agyei Nimako (Head of Communication – Asanteman / Europe), Ms. Abena Bemah (Asanteman Europe Organizing Secretary) and Mr. Vincent Gambrah (CEO AfroEuro)
