Asanteman community in Holland celebrates Akwasidae

The Asanteman Community in Holland has celebrated its latest Akwasidae in The Hague.

This edition of the celebration was held on 19th September, 2021 and it saw the likes of some elders of the Ashanti Traditional Council from Rotterdam, Amery, Amsterdam, etc.

In his keynote address, Nana Osei Kufour Nipamu, chief of Ashantis in Holland, admonished his subjects to be steadfast in whatever they do as they contribute to develop Ashanti Communities in diaspora and back home in Ghana.

The Akwasidae Festival is celebrated by the Ashanti people and chiefs in Ashanti, as well as the Ashanti diaspora. The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks.
