Antiri Nicolas Aletso, the Deputy Volta North Regional Police Commander and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), was found dead in a hotel in Hohoe on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Relatives of the deceased Police Chief stated that they attempted to reach him on the phone multiple times but received no response, prompting them to file a complaint with the Regional Police Command out of worry that something awful had happened to him.
According to police detectives, a team of policemen led by ASP Simon Yevu, the staff officer, went to Obama Hotel room number 4 and found the victim laying in a lateral posture.
Ashantibiz gathered that the door to the room was also not locked.
He was rushed to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital where he was confirmed dead and the body has since been conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra pending autopsy to establish the actual cause of death.
