In a statement released to Ashantibiz, the board highlights its concerns over the alleged breaches of the GFA’s regulations and questions the fairness of the decision to suspend the team from participating in any football-related activities.
The release demands the Ghana Football Association (GFA) revisit the findings that led to the suspension of the team, as it claims that the basis for the suspension was factually incorrect. According to the release, the confirmation of the team’s suspension by the general secretary directly contradicts Article 17(2) of the GFA statutes, 2019. Furthermore, the release alleges that there is concrete evidence suggesting an error in the counting process, indicating that the reported number of delegates in favour of the suspension does not accurately reflect the true number of congressmen who voted in support.
