Alabar is a brisk business center for black-market, motorcycles and parts, bicycles and parts, pharmacy shops, and petty traders of foodstuff and second-hand clothing. It has over the years been so, until recent times.
The business center has several routes leading to some big towns like Ashtown, KATH, Asawase, Akwatialine, Dichemso, Bantama etc; all within the Kumasi enclave.
Unfortunately, commercial drivers have turned the traffic light leading to all these places as their lorry station. This obviously hinders the flow of traffic there.
Tricycle riders and trotro drivers make it difficult for other road users to enjoy using that portion daily.
The Alabar traffic post is a small roundabout where road users converge from various places.
City authorities are thus called upon to control that portion to enable all road users enjoy using that stretch.
