The Minister-designate for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, has asked for the support of management and staff to enable him to work diligently to improve upon the current situation at the ministry.
He urged staff to be punctual and committed to their work and to ensure that the environment is always clean to prevent the outbreak of disease, thereby contributing to the productivity and growth of the sector.
He advised the staff of the Ministry to support each other and treat each other with mutual respect. He acknowledged the need for capacity building to improve the work ethics of staff.
Mr Mercer indicated that he looked forward to working with everybody and asked the Chief Director to provide him with the calendar of activities for the year.
The staff took turns asking questions and making suggestions as to how to maximise productivity and improve work at the Ministry.
