Cassava, scientifically known as Monihot Esculenta is a starchy root food that is mostly cultivated in countries like Congo, Côte d’lvoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Uganda

Cassava has a lot of benefits that are good for the development of humans. Cooked cassava has excellent nutrients such as calcium, complex carbohydrates, saponins, anthraquinone, potassium, vitamin c, magnesium, and phosphorus.

1. Reduction of migraines: Eating cassava can help reduce constant migraine attacks because of the riboflavin and vitamin B2 that it contains

2. Losing weight: Because it is rich in dietary fiber, cassava can make one satisfied for a longer period. Therefore, decreasing the need for you to constantly take some snacks of food in other to lose weight you’ve gained

3. Improves immune system: Vitamin C and Folates, both found in cassava leaves are extremely good for the immune system.

Vitamin C helps the immune system by attacking viruses and bacteria, rendering them dead. It is a good antioxidant that eradicates free radicals that’s in the body. It also maintains bone health and keeps the bones strong.

4. Lower blood pressure: Other amazing benefits of cassava are, it tremendously lowers blood pressure, this is because of the high dietary fiber it contains.

5. Improvement and Boosting energy of brain function: Cassava is high in carbohydrates and it helps in boosting energy.

The intake of cassava also makes the brain work more efficiently by adding the flour of cassava to your diet.
