“I was tagged an armed robber” – Nana Amaniampong

The Chief Executive Officer of God Links Company Limited Nana Amaniampong who also doubles as the Nifahene of Kona in Ashanti Region has recounted his ordeal as a young man starting his early life in Accra.

According to him he started his life as a garage boy at Sues Inn Garage off the Lapaz road in Accra. “I was working for a worthy woman who owns a garage. She was someone who trusted me and would occasionally entrust huge sums of monies into my care. Unfortunately her kindness towards me attracted some hatred”

“Some of her own relatives and colleague employees started to hate me and subsequently succeeded in setting me up”.

“Some guys came to the garage under the pretense to buy a Toyota Camry in the early 2000’s. I took them on a test drive on the Tema motorway. I got robbed along the way by these unknown guys”.

“They forced me out of the car at a gun point, tied me and threw me into a bush off the Tema motorway. I cried my blood out seeking for help but to no avail. I got help from a stranger some hours later”.

“News broke before my arrival at the garage that I had connived with some unknown men to steal a car from my employer. I was detained inside a room upon my arrival waiting for the police to pick me up. I forced my way out from the backdoor and had to disguise myself to escape arrest. I was devastated and totally desolated and didn’t know what to do. I managed to travel back to Kumasi. I narrated my ordeal to my family detailing exactly what happened and how innocent I was. Before my arrival in Kumasi, news had gotten to them that I had stolen from my employers and I had been placed on police wanted list”.

“I got the needed assistance from my family. We went to so many places; started from the fetish Priest to other spiritual camps in search of the stolen Toyota Camry. Fortunately, I was assured by one of the soothsayers that the stolen Camry was still in Accra and was advised to go back to Accra and that I would find the car”.

“The car was found finally in the hands of some of the relatives of my employer. It was revealed later that I was setup by those relatives of my employer out of mere jealousy as they didn’t understand why I had suddenly  found favour from my employer to the extent of entrusting her huge belongings into my care”.

“Those guys were arraigned before court and were convicted to jail”.
