Wife killer, Maxwell Konadu who was arrested by the police for murdering his pregnant wife has died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
The 42 year old bolted after the heinous crime but was later apprehended by the police.
On Saturday, a misunderstanding ensued between Maxwell and Betty and in the heated argument, Maxwell allegedly stabbed Betty several times which led to her death.
Maxwell, according to some eyewitnesses, accused the pregnant wife of seeing other men.
The police upon arrest and interrogation noticed that Maxwell had swallowed some substances suspected to be poisonous and was subsequently sent to KATH for administration but he passed on.
ASP Godwin Ahianyo confirmed the incident to the media and added that Maxwell’s body has been deposited at the KATH morgue.
