KNUST Students’ Parliament Calls On Public Affairs Director of Parliament of Ghana

Leaders of the Students’ Parliament House of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has paid a courtesy call on the Public Affairs Director of Parliament of Ghana, Kate Addo.

The visit was to introduce themselves as the house’s leadership and ask for support to effectively deliver Parliament’s vision of bringing Parliament closer to the people.

The team led by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Sulemana Shamuna presented and discussed the itinerary of the 15th Parliament.

The delegation also met some staff of the Parliament like the Deputy Finance Controller of Parliament, Lawyer Asem who pledged his steadfast support for the Students Parliament.

Among other engagements, the leaders also met Hon. Hajia Zuweira, the Member of Parliament for Salaga South to discuss a possible partnership program to help improve the WASSCE performance at her constituency.

About the KNUST Students’ Parliament

The Students Parliament House of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is one of the vibrant mock parliament established under the Public Affairs Directorate of Parliament of Ghana.

The house has been in active operation for about 15 years. It has trained many people who have occupied envious positions in the country.

Among them is the current youngest Member of Parliament in Ghana, Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Kwabre East Constituency in Ashanti Region.
The house has also trained many student leaders who have occupied a vital leadership position in Ghana.
