Read below his apology letter:
*UNQUALIFIED APOLOGY*
I understand the disappointment and appreciate the inconvenience my action has caused the general public as well as the Nursing FRATERNITY and Manhyia Hospital.
*This has never been my style* but for a genuine reason to mediate a persistent issue between my daughter(Doctor) and a colleague nurse who I as well consider my daughter.
I do apologize for any mishap and assure all, there shall not be a repetition of such.
I look forward to maintaining a cordial relationship between any affected person.
Best Regards
Opoku-Mensah Alex
NSS Director
Ashanti Region
On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, an incidence occurred at the Manhyia Hospital in the Ashanti Region of Ghana which saw Mr. Opoku Mensah in a heated scuffle with a Nurse stationed at the Manhyia Hospital following a report made to him by his daughter who is s House Doctor at the hospital.
The issue which did not go down with Ghanaians and the social media users saw different reactions. This was followed by a press release by the Registered General Nurses and Midwifery Association, GRNMA, asking for the immediate removal of the Regional NSS Director. Failure to remove him, the Association threatened a strike.
This development has seen the embattled NSS Regional Director take to his Facebook page to render an unqualified apology to all. In the post, Mr. Opoku stated that the actions Ghanaians saw, is not his style. He therefore took that action for a genuine reason.
