My first 100 days as President will change Ghanaians mindset – Kennedy Agyapong

  • Post category:Politics

Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has noted that the mindset of Ghanaians is problematic and there is, therefore, a need to change it before the country can see the needed development.

He observes that without a change in mindset, it will be difficult on the part o every President of the country to develop the country to the level it is supposed to reach.

The legislator says it is against this backdrop he has earmarked his first 100 days as President to work on remolding the mindset of the people.

Citing examples of things that need to change, Kennedy Agyapong said it is about time petty envy of successful people is brought to an end.

He indicated that a businessman who was ready to help develop ethanol that can be used to reduce the prices of fuel by 20% was denied the opportunity because his wife’s sister is Nana Agyemang Konadu Rawlings.

The outspoken lawmaker noted that this man moved to India and other places and is now successful. Kennedy Agyapong said there are a number of similar stories that should not have been the case and therefore, he will work at making things right.

“That is why I am saying that in my first 100 days in government we are going to change the mindset of Ghanaians,” he said on Suncity Radio where he was interviewed.

Kennedy Agyapong has surprisingly declared that he will contest for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He says he will be able to develop the country indicating that it’s time those who are eloquent are put in the background for people with street sense to take over.
