The Netherlands-Ghana Business and Tourism Expo concluded successfully on August 31, 2024, at Het Koorenhuis in The Hague. This dynamic event attracted over 200 participants, including Ghanaian expatriates, Dutch business professionals, and key representatives from numerous institutions. The expo aimed to enhance cultural understanding and create economic opportunities while promoting sustainable development through innovative partnerships between Ghana and the Netherlands.
On the first day, the event kicked off with key presentations and workshops highlighting vital sectors such as agriculture and healthcare. Opening remarks by MC Mrs. Melvina Lakhichand emphasized the significance of cross-cultural connections. Mr. Gino Macnack, an AfroEuro Board Member, stressed the need for collaborative efforts in fostering deeper ties between the two nations.
His Excellency Francis Danti Kortia, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, delivered a passionate keynote, emphasizing that bridging both nations enhances trade and builds resilient cultural alliances. The event featured numerous insightful sessions, including Dr. Peter Arensman’s discussion on sustainable agricultural innovations and Dr. Kwasi Boahene’s focus on digital healthcare transformations in Ghana.
In addition to expert insights, the expo offered valuable workshops led by industry leaders, fostering engagement and knowledge exchange. Investors were encouraged to explore Ghana’s unique investment landscape, characterized by its open policies and attractive incentives. Overall, the Netherlands-Ghana Business and Tourism Expo successfully showcased the potential for collaboration and growth, paving the way for future partnerships.
