The Nkawie-Kuma Traditional Council in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality has outdoored Oheneba Nana Kwame Akoto as the new Chief of the community at a beautiful ceremony clearly depicting the Asante culture.
He was outdoored over the weekend at a mammoth durbar attended by high profile dignitaries including government officials in the likes of Hon Isaac Asiamah, Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo and the leadership of the NPP in the Atwima Mponua Constituency. Hon Emmanuel Agyei Anwhere, Hon Michael Amoah Awuku, traditional leaders, religious leaders, residents of the Nkawie community, family members, friends and sympathisers were also present.
Oheneba Nana Kwame Akoto was sworn-in at the Manhyia Palace before the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in December last year.
The Atwima Mponua Member of Parliament and former Sports Minister, Hon Isaac Asiamah speaking to the media congratulated him and urged the people of Nkawie to give their new Chief the needed support to drive home development.
Municipal Chief Executive of Atwima Nwabiagya, Hon Michael Amoah Awuku on his part promised the continuous support of the Assembly and work together to drive home the needed development.
He congratulated Nana Kwame Akoto for assuming the throne. Some residents in the community expressed their excitement of getting a new Chief.
They were hopeful that the needed development would be witnessed after getting a new Chief.
