NPP Chairman expresses profound regret to UTV; issues apology

  • Post category:Politics

Mr. Stephen Ntim, the National Chairman of the governing party, has issued a sincere and unequivocal apology to the management of United Television, its dedicated staff, and all valued stakeholders.

This apology comes in response to the regrettable behavior exhibited by a group of individuals who forcefully entered the studios of the television station last Saturday during a live broadcast of United Showbiz, expressing their discontent with the panel selection on the show.

A total of sixteen party members voiced their dissatisfaction with what they perceived as biased paneling on a program that they believed had deviated from its intended purpose as an entertainment show, instead taking on a political nature. These individuals were particularly displeased with the actions of panel member A-Plus, who tore a letter addressed to the station’s management, urging them to reconsider their panel selection during a live broadcast. Understandably, this conduct did not sit well with the party’s loyalists, prompting them to stage a protest at the studios during the live show.

Regrettably, this single act disrupted the live program, providing an opportunity for Ghanaians to criticize the ruling NPP government. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Mr. Ntim took the initiative to offer his apology during a live interview on the Kokrokoo Morning Show, hosted by the esteemed Kwame Sefa Kayi on Thursday morning.

He assures Ghanaians that the party will not interfere in the police investigation process. Instead, the party is committed to implementing measures that will prevent any such unfortunate conduct.
