Rand Medical Imaging brings free health screenings to Kasoa Old Market

In a collaborative effort to promote community well-being, Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems, in partnership with the Odikro Palace, hosted a free health screening event for the residents of Kasoa Old Market. The event, held inside the Kasoa Parliament near the Odikro’s Palace on July 5, saw a significant turnout, including the elderly and members of the Muslim community, taking advantage of the opportunity to receive medical care.

The activities included free blood pressure checks and personalized medical advice provided by Dr. Rosemond Aboagye, a paediatric radiologist, CEO of Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems, and a senior specialist at Ridge Hospital in Accra. Dr. Aboagye emphasized the importance of regular health screenings in identifying potential health issues early and promoting preventive care.

‘We are incredibly happy with the response to this initiative,’ said Dr. Aboagye, adding, ‘By bringing these services directly to the community, we hope to empower residents to take charge of their health and well-being.’

The event also saw strong support from the Odikro’s Palace, further signifying the importance of community collaboration in promoting health and wellness. A representative from the Palace praised Rand Medical Imaging for their commitment to serving the Kasoa community and noted the positive impact of such initiatives on the overall health of the area.
