In a heart-wrenching farewell, the Oyoko family of Kyirapatre gathered over the weekend to lay to rest their beloved daughter and sister, Mrs. Agnes Adusei, affectionately known as Naa Achiaa. The 48-year-old fashion designer passed away after a short illness, leaving behind her husband and three children.
The funeral service, held at the Kyirapatre in Kumasi, was marked by an atmosphere of sorrow and reflection. Chief mourners, including family members and close friends, struggled to contain their grief as they remembered Naa Achiaa’s vibrant spirit and the warmth she brought to those around her. Tears flowed freely as loved ones recounted heartfelt memories of her life, punctuated by the deep sense of loss felt by everyone present.
As the Dompoase Church of Christ leadership took to the podium, they led the congregation in sharing stories that celebrated Naa Achiaa’s life. Their reflections brought moments of solace amid the grief, reminding attendees of the joy she had brought to many.
The somber occasion was further enhanced by the soulful singing of church members, accompanied by a brass band, which added a poignant backdrop to the proceedings. The procession to the cemetery was handled with honor by men from the Ghana Police, who carried Naa Achiaa’s body respectfully, allowing the community to pay their final respects. The commitment of her husband and children to uphold her memory was evident, as they looked to support each other during this difficult time.
Mrs. Agnes Adusei’s untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her legacy as a devoted mother, wife, and talented designer will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
