Robbers attack family, kidnap wife and demand GHc20K ransom

Information available to Ashantibiz indicates that suspected armed robbers have taken hostage of a 34-year-old wife after robbing the family.

The incident according to the report, occurred at Asonomaso near Abuakwa of the Ashanti Region.

The robbers numbering about 3 are additionally demanding a ransom of GHC 20,000 before they can release the woman, who is a tutor at Mpasiatia Senior Technical School,

According to a report by Kumasi-based Otec FM, the incident happened around 1:00am on Wednesday August 17, 2022, where properties including laptops, money and other valuables were taken by the robbers

The families including the husband of the kidnapped woman have however refused to speak to the media on the unfortunate incident.

Both wife and husband are staff of Mpasatia Senior High School.

The report has it that, the Ashanti Regional Police Command and the Abuakwa District Command have since visited the family and already started an investigation into the matter.
