Smiles that Matter: Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems to Orphanages in Kasoa

Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems is redefining social responsibility by expanding its main responsibilities to Kasoa orphans. For many of these orphans, basic medical care and imaging services are a luxury they simply cannot afford. However, thanks to the efforts of Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems, these orphans are now receiving the care they deserve, bringing smiles to their faces.

The facility, led by Dr. Rosemond Aboagye, organised a fun-filled event on Saturday, October 14th, for children at the ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus Orphanage Home’ and the ‘Royal Seed Orphanage Home’ in Kasoa. The event aimed to bring joy and laughter to the children at these Orphanage Homes’ in Kasoa. It included various activities such as balloon twisting, games, and a puppet show.

The children were delighted to participate in these activities, and their smiles lit up the event. It was heartwarming to see the joy and happiness on their faces as they forgot about their hardships for a while and simply enjoyed being children.

Representatives from Rand Medical Imaging and Health Systems conducted health screenings and provided basic medical care to the children. They also distributed educational materials on hygiene and nutrition, emphasising the importance of taking care of their health. The team also spent quality time with the children, playing games, sharing stories, and listening to their dreams and aspirations. They showed the children that they were not alone and that there are people who care about their well-being.

Not only do they receive much-needed school supplies, toys, and clothing, medical attention, and support, but they also gain a sense of belonging and hope for their future. For many of these children, the event was a life-changing experience. It provided them with an opportunity to interact with people who genuinely care about their well-being and to feel a sense of belonging. The children were able to spend quality time with adults who listened to their stories and dreams, giving them a sense of importance and validation.
A total of approximately two hundred children were gathered from two orphanage homes to unite at the “Royal Seed Orphanage Home”, located at Papase Number 1, off the Bawjiase Road in Kasoa. Among these children, fifty were from the “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” orphanage facility in Nyanyano, Kasoa.
