The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has disclosed that the construction of the Suame and Oforikrom interchanges will begin in 2022.
He added that construction of the outer Kumasi roads will also start in 2022.
Hon. Osei Kyei- Mensah -Bonsu made this known when addressing delegates at the NPP National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on Sunday.
The MP for Suame Constituency was sarcastic that the achievements of President Akufo-Addo are there for all to see.
He cited examples as the Free SHS policy, 1D1F, banking sector clean up, Planting for Food and Jobs, restoration of Nurses and Teacher Trainee Allowance among others.
Touching on the projects in the Ashanti Region, he indicated the Lake- Bosomtwe, Kokobeng- Anwiankwanta, Anwiankwata- Obuasi, Mampong – Kofiaase deplorable roads have been given a facelift.
Hon. Osei Kyei -Mensah- Bonsu stressed that the 44-year-old Mother and Baby Unit at KATH “which was left to rot has been given life.”
Meanwhile, in other development, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs emphasized that the 2022 budget was on Friday, 17/12/2021 sealed with the passage of the appropriation bill.
He jabbed that the budget wasn’t rejected as a section of the Parliamentarians claimed.
He noted, that E-Levy has been laid before and Parliament and will be considered tomorrow, Monday 20/12/2021.
